Total Radio Silence is a Sunshine Coast local band from Buderim. The new single “Borrowed Time” is now available in most places online. We discuss where this song came from.
Total Radio Silence –
With a sound inspired by the likes of the Foo Fighters, Green Day and the Smashing Pumpkins, this song will appeal to those seeking a 90’s rock nostalgia mixed with modern, lively and upbeat production that transcends the clinical studio feel to give a live sound, which is mirrored by the bands actual live presence and energy. True to previous efforts, the band have taken the full DIY approach to the record, recording all of the instrumentation and vocals in their own homes as well as mixing and mastering done by frontman, Billy G, in his home studio space.
What is your favourite line or lyric & why?
“Flying by the seat of our pants on Borrowed Time” for its ‘fast and loose’ attitude and meaning.

What does ‘Borrowed Time’ mean to you?
It means more now, due to the pandemic facing the world, than it ever did; demonstrating the importance of living life in the short time we have.
Where were you when this song came about? what were you upto?
We were writing it about making most of the time we have whilst rehearsing one day.
Does this song have any musical influences?
Green Day, Foo Fighters
