This song has aged quite well with me, it used to be an angry thing, but now it’s just a reminder to stay well away from the crazy ladies that lead you to make songs like this.
What inspired you to create/write this song? (and real life situations)
At Love lost and a heart broken, the typical songwriter trope.
What is the intention with this song?
It’s just the realisation that maybe ‘the one’ isn’t actually ‘the one’
Where were you when this song came about? What were you up to?
At home, sitting at my keyboard, praying a song would appear.
What is your favourite line or lyric & why?
“You wouldn’t keep calling me by someone else’s name, Caroline” I listened to Ray Charles on repeat and in one of his songs he talks about his girl calling him Johnny in her sleep, when she knows his name is Ray and I thought I had to take inspiration there.
