One of my favourite songs I’ve written with Taylor Moss. ‘Ocean’ is a reflection of where I live and how much I love it.
Does this song have any musical influences?
I loved producing this song with sunshine coast musician and now producer Nyssa Ray. We just let everything flow and the song actually evolved more while we were in the studio. Nyssa has produced all of my songs so far, and I think it’s important you have that connection with someone.
What inspired you to write this song?
I’m so lucky to live in walking distance to the beach. I wanted to write about how I love it and how it makes me feel.I look forward to every weekend hitting the sand.
Is your song about a feeling? what does it mean to you?
I feel like when you are close to the Ocean you cant let go of any worries and it makes you feel grounded and refreshed again. I love the whole feet in the sand, waves crashing, wind in my hair feeling. I also walk my kelpie (well she runs) and its a magic place.
When would be a good time to listen to it? What mood does it suit?
Anytime when you want to dream of being by the oceanside!
