Johnny Mew is a Sunshine local artist from Mount Coolum. His new release “Mr Timeline” is now available in most places online. Johnny Mew has taken a seat to answer a couple of questions.

Mr Timeline is a Song for Peace. Written when I was 19, thinking and feeling into the fact that us as human beings wear many masks but when we remove them, there’s peace, hence the lyric ‘Mr Peace Remove The Mask’.
What is the intention of this song?
This song is designed to remind people of their power to make positive change and to ‘Drop the Masks’ to find peace.
Where were you when this song came about? What were you up to?
Mr Timeline was written in Arnhem Land where I finished school, a small town called Nhulunbuy ( Gove ). It was largely Inspired by the many amazing Yolngu people I met up there and their unique take on life and Spirituality.
What inspired you to create/write this song?
I wrote this song during a time of great hardship yet also with great spiritual growth and awakening as a side effect.
What is your favourite line or lyric and why?
Probably, ‘Come on Everybody now, we’ve all got to do our part, come on everybody now, we’ve been in this together from the start.’
I truly believe we are all interconnected and can make such a difference when we work together!
