Baileydrummer is a Sunshine local artist from Mountain Creek. His new release “Swore To Fight” is now available in most places online. Baileydrummer has taken a moment to answer a couple of questions.
Baileydrummer –
This song is a response to the riots and anarchy which swept and continue to sweep the world after the death of George Floyd. It’s the only way I could express my outrage at how lost the BLM message is and how much of a trojan horse it is for a ‘new world order’ rather than a movement for racial equality. Through their efforts to be mighty and evoke change, these radical left BLM rioters and looters became everything they Swore to Fight.
What were you up-to when this song came about?
I was wading through a social media feed full of Instagram activists posting black squares and wondering how that positively affects change of any kind.
What inspired you to create/write ‘Swore To Fight’?
The hypocrisy of the BLM movement and how it’s creating more racial and social division in the world.
What is the intention with this song?
It’s to raise a point of observation for people who may identify with the idea that anti-BLM isn’t racist and that All Lives Matter is an objective truth. Make no mistake, ‘anti-racists’ are the extreme majority, you don’t need to make a fuss on your social media about defunding the world’s police in order to show that.
What is your favourite line or lyric and why?
“You idolise what you swore to fight”
I think it really highlights the hypocrisy of the movement and those who are so heavily behind it.
